On Sunday, we participated in a wonderful inclusive MOVE project. Running Blind was present at MarathonWoman’s 301st marathon.
MOVING TOGETHER sets people in MOTION towards a more inclusive society. It was a pleasant and warm experience to meet enthusiastic runners and buddies.
MarathonWoman
This powerful lady, Hilde Dosogne, aims to be the first woman ever to run a marathon every day of the year, surpassing the world record of 150 consecutive marathons. The initiative encourages healthy movement and invites runners of all levels to join Hilde, with inclusion as the key word. Additionally, the project aims to raise funds for BIG against breast cancer, an organization that supports international academic breast cancer research. Running Blind
Running Blind is a beautiful example of inclusion, where blind and visually impaired runners are paired with buddies who guide them. This partnership goes beyond physical support; it creates a bond of trust and mutual respect. It shows that healthy movement has no boundaries and promotes the self-confidence and independence of the runners.
At 9:45 AM, you could spot the yellow jackets of Running Blind at Club 365, and at 10:00 AM, everyone started their own run. RESPECT! By participating, our daughter learns the power of a community committed to connection, representation, and support for blind and visually impaired people in the (MOVE) world.
The Power of Blind MOVE Trust
Running Blind has a profound impact on both the runner and the buddy, as well as on us as parents. It means feeling sportively welcome in a place where limitations are turned into challenges. Knowing that there will be MOVE opportunities in the future and that we can rely on a broad network of sporty volunteers with warm and big hearts.
